Just doing nothing
Sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is simply do nothing. Over the past few days, I stayed alone in a monastery.
Every so often, I consciously take a period of silence. Time to read, reflect, and simply be. I walk in nature, barely use my phone, and intentionally seek out the quiet.
In that stillness, space opens up for new insights. I write them down and then drive home an hour and a half later with a refreshed sense of lightness.
It is a short but intense time, yet one that gives me a great deal of space, clarity, and perspective, with a renewed feeling afterwards.
How do you create moments in which deep wisdom can reach you?
Do you make time to pause and look at yourself and your life from a wider perspective?
What insights do you discover then?
