Fees and reimbursements for your personal pathway

Fees for support pathways
A 30-minute introductory conversation is free of charge. Once a pathway has started, the fee is EUR 95 per hour including VAT. If this rate is difficult to afford because of a low income, we can discuss an adjusted rate that better fits your financial situation.
-
I focus fully on providing tailored support pathways and therefore do not work within the limitations often set by Dutch health insurers. Support is usually available at short notice, because there is no long waiting list before an introductory conversation can be scheduled. You also do not need a referral letter from your GP. At the moment, a pathway with me cannot be reimbursed through Dutch health insurance. This refers to Dutch health insurers only, not to international insurers or expat policies. If you have an international policy, it is best to check the terms directly with your insurer.
-
What may be helpful to know is that in regular Dutch healthcare, you first pay the compulsory excess, currently at least EUR 385 per year. Because I do not work through health insurance, four sessions at EUR 95 already take you quite far. In practice, the difference in cost is often smaller than people expect. There may also be other possibilities for reimbursement, described below.

Fees and possible reimbursements
Sometimes through the UWV, sometimes through an employer, and in some cases tax deductible. Dutch health insurers do not reimburse these pathways.
-
Work-related pathways
-
It may be possible for your employer to reimburse this pathway through a training budget or a development-focused budget. These can often be requested through your manager, and in some organisations also through HR. Some organisations also offer vitality or sustainable employability budgets.
If your employer agrees to reimburse a pathway for psychological support and/or coaching, a tailored proposal can be drawn up based on the goals we define together.
-
UWV reimbursements
-
If you are in contact with the UWV because you are currently partly or fully unable to work, a pathway through Psychology practice Sepora may sometimes be used to support your return to work. Psychology practice Sepora also offers tailored pathways that may fit stress or burnout-related difficulties.
You can discuss this with your case manager and/or employment specialist at the UWV. If support is approved, a tailored proposal can be prepared on the basis of the goals we define together.
-
Tax deductible
-
Psychological support may in some cases be partly tax deductible. This differs from person to person, so it is wise to check with a tax adviser whether this applies to you. If you work as a self-employed professional, you may also be able to deduct the costs by paying for the pathway through your business as part of your professional development.

Questions?
-
If you have questions about possible reimbursements or the costs of support, feel free to let me know. I would be glad to think along with you. And if you are insured outside the Netherlands, it is wise to check directly with your own insurer what may or may not be covered.
