Living by your values
Living by your values often begins when you stop striving. Among the mountains and the silence, I found again what truly gives direction. In recent weeks, we have travelled around in our camper van once more: through the mountains, past wide-open landscapes and across rugged, untouched nature.
It is in that setting that I notice again and again what nature does for me. By quite literally placing myself in a different environment, space opens up within me too. New horizons bring new insights. I see myself differently, as well as the people around me.
Nature keeps bringing me back to my own values: to the heart of how I want to live. Not driven by goals or constant striving, but by what really matters. Making choices from my personal values, rather than from the pressure to keep doing more or doing better.
This is also what I want to offer people at Sepora Practice. As an outdoor psychologist, I use nature as a powerful setting for therapy: to explore what those personal values are and how you can live from them. Sometimes our minds know exactly what we ought to do, while our hearts find it difficult to live accordingly. I use nature to help explore how to live from the heart and make choices rooted in your personal values.
Nature invites us:
to pause,
to slow down
and to reconnect with yourself.
From there, space emerges for taking a next step. Not from what seems self-evident or from old patterns, but from your own values. When you live by what genuinely suits you, choices become clearer and growth finds a lasting foundation.
Nature keeps showing us what is already there. Sometimes we only need to become still enough to see it again.
