Listening to your critical voice — or not
What if, today, you chose not to listen to your critical voice?
Many people long for a life filled with gratitude, peace, and a loving perspective. This is a theme that often comes up during outdoor sessions. Many people encounter old pain, pain from the past that they carry with them into everyday life. A situation in the present, at work or in private life, can then trigger that pain again.
Last week, I walked with a client and watched their warm, compassionate, and loving voice become more visible throughout the outdoor session. Together, we explored the triggers from the past — fear and deep insecurity — that were surfacing in daily life. By the end of the session, I saw a sense of refreshment and relaxation in this client.
Deep pain needs time and often does not disappear after just one outdoor session. But slowly, step by step, I see clients make the loving perspective their own, instead of continuing to listen to the critical voice that pulls them down.
I would like to invite you to take a moment today to let loving, warm thoughts settle in your heart. To shift your focus from a critical view to a compassionate view of yourself.
