What does an outdoor psychologist do?
Recently, several people have asked me what I actually do as an outdoor psychologist.
As a psychologist in nature, the forest feels like a second home to me. Everything I do is shaped by being in and around nature. Entering the woods with wonder. Nature helps us de-stress, opens creativity, restores and refreshes. In my sessions, I bring nature into the conversation. It offers calm and steadiness when difficult blocks or painful themes need to be met.
These do not have to be long, fast walks. Sometimes it is enough simply to be outside, to sit on a bench, or to walk slowly. All of that is okay.
Maybe after reading this, you feel curious to try it yourself and face what is in your way. One conversation or a series of sessions, both are possible.
