Visualisation
Lately I am often asked how visualisation works. And what happens if you look at your own vision board every day for five years?
Over the past five years I created a board with images of dreams. I looked at it every day. Not in a forced way, and without pressure. Just quietly, peacefully, letting those images stay with me.
When I first put them up, I imagined some of them might take fifteen years to come true. I did not know that in the past five years so many of those things would move so quickly.
This week I found myself smiling as I looked at the images one by one. I realised that those dream images had come true. One by one.
The question came immediately: how can this happen so quickly?
The power of visualisation can feel almost secret. But each day, the deeper secret is trust and belief, a quiet force that sets something in motion.
Not always the next day. Sometimes only after years do you see what has been growing.
I am now living inside dreams I pinned up five years ago. I feel deep gratitude in my heart. Joy too.
And one of the beautiful things about visualising dreams... is that they sometimes begin to come true.
So I keep dreaming. New paths are already beginning to unfold. The first new images have been added.
With gratitude, I look again each day at dreams that are slowly coming into bloom.
One part of my work as an outdoor psychologist, alongside walk therapy, is helping people visualise the dream they carry in their heart. I would be glad to help you discover which steps may help you give that dream a place on a vision board too.
